About Me

I have been writing ever since I was a child. I was an only child, which got rather lonely. Reading and writing was my outlet and my company. Regardless if anyone was home I had my characters to keep me company. Lestat and the many characters of Oscar Wilde kept me company a lot!

About eleven years ago now I discovered fanfiction and was immediately hooked. The X-Files was my first big fandom, and when episodes weren't on during the week and fanfiction was the perfect thing to do until I could see the newest episode on Sunday. For years that was the only fanfiction I would read.

Until I discovered Buffy. Of course I jumped in a little late (about season four), but then I discovered that Buffy had quite a large fandom as well. I even tried my hand at writing it but I never want that horrible thing to see the light of day again. Ever.

Toward the end of my high school is when I really started getting into anime. From what you can see in the awards section as well as the writing section, Inuyasha was my big thing.

Now, five years after graduation, I'm still a rabid writer and reader. Of course I've expanded a bit more in my fandoms, though I don't write for all of them. I'm not sure how long this is going to last, but I've met all sorts of people so far and I've really enjoyed myself.

On the sewing front I've been doing that since I was sixteen, when I got roped into making a ton of hospital gowns for a play that we did in High School. The Dastardly Doctor Deveraux. It's as bad as it sounds, believe me. From there I began making my own clothing and costumes.

The cosplay fetish began when I discovered anime conventions. I have only cosplayed once myself (no one knew who I bloody was), but I have made quite a few costumes for others. There is something that is very refreshing knowing that the item I hold in my hands I made, and that it is going to bring joy to the person who will be wearing it.

This site has gone through so many different transformations since it's beginning it's not even funny. It all started on Geocities as an Inuyasha site before I really started writing fanfiction, as an experiment. I was learning HTML at the time and wanted to try out some of the things I learned. I imagine this was in late 2005, early 2006.

Mid to late 2006 this really started to evolve into a full blown fanfiction site, hosting namely my own fiction as well as my recommendations of other great stories. There was still an Inuyasha section, but not as updated as much as the fiction was updated.

Late 2006 I was hosted for the first time! The wonderful Kae at Anime Euphoria hosted the site, that was called Ninja Food at that point in time.

The current incarnation didn't come to be until around mid 2007, when I bought my own hosting and domain. It's been a year since I purchased the hosting and everything just keeps going up!
